Moore sticks with The Grey Gatsby for Royal Ascot

Ryan Moore looks set to continue his profitable partnership with The Grey Gatsby in The Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot next week. The Group 1 race is the feature event on day two of Royal Ascot – Wednesday 17th June and will be a wonderful spectacle for guests enjoying the luxurious Royal Ascot hospitality facilities.

The three-time champion jockey has ridden the four-year-old in six of his last seven races, including his two major Group 1 wins in last season’s Prix du Jockey Club and Irish Champion Stakes. Kevin Ryan’s charge is a general 7/1 second-favourite for the race despite the fact he has failed to reach the heights of last season.

Ryan said “We’re nearly sure that Ryan is going to ride him, which is a big bonus. He’s in great order and we are where we want to be with him.”

Godolphin snaps up Pleascach

Godolphin have snapped up exciting 1,000 Irish Guineas winner Pleascach, who will step up to one-and-a-half-miles in the Ribblesdale Stakes on the third day of Royal Ascot – Thursday 18th June. The Group 2 will be a high-class event for the guests inside the enjoying the magnificent Royal Ascot Ladies Day hospitality facilities.

Jim Bolger’s charge was very impressive when winning the Group 1 at the Curragh and carry the famous blue silks next week. It continues the association between Bolger’s stable and Godolphin, who also own Bolger’s Round Two, who is favourite for the Coventry Stakes on the opening day of Royal Ascot – Tuesday 16th June.
